April 25, 2007 - We did it!. After 10 months of hard campaigning, the BC Government introduced legislation that will end mandatory retirement in BC on January 1, 2008. CUFA/BC would like to thank everyone who supported our work.

 
 
E-Mail Your MLA - MLAs

The only way we'll get rid of mandatory retirement is if you take three minutes right now to send an e-mail message to your Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Tell you MLA that mandatory retirement is a violation of basic human rights and is no longer justified in British Columbia. The more people who do this, the sooner older workers will regain the right to control their working lives. It will be the best three minutes you spent today.
